Our Process
A financial roadmap to help you live the life you desire.
1
Initial Consultation
Let’s get to know each other!
Our initial meeting in the planning process is usually about an hour in length. The purpose of the meeting is for us to get acquainted and determine if a relationship would be in both of our interests.
The goal of the consultation is to:
- Learn about your primary goals and concerns
- Find out what financial services you’re interested in
- Provide an opportunity to share who we are and our process
- Provide information as to how our fees are structured
This meeting is complimentary with no obligation on your part to engage us following the meeting.
When you decide to engage our services, we’ll ask you to complete our engagement agreement and provide you with a list of additional information that we’ll need to get started. At this time, you will be asked to pay a deposit based on the estimated total planning fee. Once we have your signed engagement contract and deposit, we’ll schedule a discovery and data gathering meeting.
2
Discovery
Let’s discuss your goals and determine your options.
At this meeting we’ll gather all the pertinent information needed to assess your current situation. We’ll then discuss your specific short- and long-term goals so we can begin building a comprehensive financial plan.
3
Analysis
Let’s assess your current financial situation.
Once the discovery and data gathering are complete, we'll analyze your information to:
- Evaluate your current financial landscape
- Determine your options
- Design your financial plan and
- Create final reports for your review at the Financial Plan Presentation
4
Financial Plan Presentation
Review our recommendations.
At this meeting we'll review and present your financial plan. We’ll discuss our reports with you and provide a written summary of our observations and recommendations. You will also have the opportunity to discuss any concerns you have, and if appropriate, make necessary revisions.
At the conclusion of this meeting the remaining balance of your financial planning fees are due. If you are engaging us only for financial planning services, our active engagement will conclude after this meeting- with the client responsible for the implementation of the plan on their own. We will provide a 30-day window for any follow ups and questions.
5
Implementation
Let’s put the plan in action!
Implementation is paramount when it comes to making the financial planning process work. During your financial plan presentation, we’ll discuss an appropriate plan for the implementation and monitoring of your plan.
When the plan is developed and agreed upon, we’ll then:
- Determine the assets in your portfolio that we’ll be responsible for managing
- Begin developing a proposal and investment policy statement detailing how the assets will be managed
We’ll then present our proposal, and once approved, we will then:
- Set up the necessary accounts, and
- Facilitate the implementation of your Investment Policy Statement
We’ll also work with you to implement the action items included in your plan and identify areas where we can provide assistance. For tasks you’re responsible for we'll provide direction and guidance throughout the process.
6
Monitoring
Let’s assess and adjust changes as needed
To monitor the implementation of the plan —and to make sure it stays current with your needs and goals — we'll meet regularly. Typically, we get together twice a year to review your plan and make any necessary changes; however, as the need arises, we may need to meet more regularly. This allows us time to adapt and modify your plan in a timely manner and make sure that it continues to reflect your goals and financial needs.

Common Questions
We believe that financial planning is the process of planning for, and meeting, your life goals through the proper management of your finances. Your life goals may include buying a home, a fulfilling retirement, providing for your child’s education, protecting your family from a disability, or providing contributions to charitable organizations you care about.
We are a Fee-Only financial planning and investment management firm. Our only compensation comes from the fees we receive from our clients for the advice we provide. Unlike many financial advisors, we never receive any commissions, finder’s fees or any other compensation which is contingent upon you purchasing a particular product.
When dealing with your financial wellbeing, you need advice that you can trust. The advice you receive should be independent and objective, not swayed by the interests of any outside third parties. As Fee-Only financial planners, we work solely for our clients, and are paid only by the fees they pay us for our advice.
Because we don’t receive any commissions or sales incentive for our advice, we are able to remove the conflicts of interest with regards to compensation. For more information on Fee-Only financial planning, visit the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) website at www.nafsa.org.
Financial planning fees are based on the complexity of your financial situation. Typically, these fees will range from $3,000 to $5,000. During the complimentary initial consultation meeting we can determine what services may be best for you and provide you with an estimate of the fees at that time.
Our investment management fees begin at 1.00% annually for the first $1,000,000 of a client’s portfolio that we manage and tier down at higher levels. Complimentary disclosed in our Form ADV Part 2A Brochure and we are happy to discuss them in more detail during the complimentary Initial Consultation.
Our planning is a process, not a one-time event. Your financial plans should be reviewed on an ongoing basis as your life changes so that revisions can be made. The financial planning process used by Riverchase Wealth Management, LLC utilizes proven processes to guide you through your financial planning journey. While the specific process used by our financial planners may vary slightly based on your specific needs, it usually involves gathering relevant financial information, setting your goals, examining your current financial status, and developing a strategy or plan for how you can meet your goals given your current situation and future plans.
Understanding your full financial picture is key to building a successful plan. This is why we take into account areas such as cash flow and debt management, investment analysis, tax planning, insurance needs analysis, risk management, retirement planning, education planning, estate planning, legacy planning and planning for special situations.
Other than receiving your permission to debit our fee from your investment account, we do not take custody of or have access to your assets. We use an outside, third party custodian to hold any investment accounts we manage. Our clients will always be informed of any account actions such as trades, rebalances, account information updates, etc. that may need to take place.
