Common Questions
How do you define financial planning?
We believe that financial planning is the process of planning for, and meeting, your life goals through the proper management of your finances. Your life goals may include buying a home, a fulfilling retirement, providing for your child’s education, protecting your family from a disability or providing contributions to charitable organizations you care about.
How are you compensated for your services?
We are a Fee-Only financial planning and investment management firm. Our only compensation comes from the fees we receive from our clients for the advice we provide. Unlike many financial advisors, we never receive any commissions, finder’s fees or any other compensation which is contingent upon you purchasing a particular product.
Why should I choose a Fee-Only financial planner?
When dealing with your financial wellbeing, you need advice that you can trust. The advice you receive should be independent and objective, not swayed by the interests of any outside third parties. As a Fee-Only financial planners, we work solely for our clients, paid only by the fees they pay us for our advice. Because we do not receive any commissions or sales incentive for our advice, we are able to remove the conflicts of interest with regards to compensation. For more information on Fee-Only financial planning, visit the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) website at www.napfa.org.
How much do you charge for your financial planning services?
Financial planning fees are based on the complexity of your financial situation. Typically, these fees will range from $3,000 to $5,000. During the complimentary Initial Consultation meeting we can determine what services may be best for you and provide you with an estimate of the fees at that time.
Our investment management fees begin at 1.00% annually for the first $1,000,000 of a client’s portfolio that we manage and tier down at higher levels. These fees are disclosed in our Form ADV Part 2A Brochure and we are happy to discuss them in more detail during the complimentary Initial Consultation.
What does the financial planning process entail?
What is important to understand is that financial planning is a process, not a one-time event. Your financial plans should be reviewed on an ongoing basis as your life changes so that revisions can be made. The financial planning process used by Riverchase Wealth Management, LLC utilizes proven processes to guide our clients through their financial planning. While the specific process used by our financial planners may vary slightly based on your specific needs, it usually involves gathering relevant financial information, setting your goals, examining your current financial status and developing a strategy or plan for how you can meet your goals given your current situation and future plans.
What areas of financial planning do you advise on?
Riverchase Wealth Management, LLC offers comprehensive financial planning services. We have developed our 4 Wealth Points process to advise clients on the areas we found to be most important to our clients and their families. The 4 Wealth Points will include areas such as cash flow and debt management, investment analysis, tax planning, risk management, retirement planning, education planning, estate planning, legacy planning and planning for special situations.
If you were to provide me on-going investment management services, do you take custody of, or will you have access to, my assets?
